• Online book stuff:
  • Distributed Proofreaders (Not mine per se, but I'm one of the few developers.) Sign up to do a page a day!
  • U.S. Copyright Renewals, 1950 - 1977 (Books) (I shepherded it through DP and did lots of automated and semi-automated cleanup on it.) This set of renewal records is important for determining the copyright status (in the USA) of books published in 1923-1963. See this discussion to find out why. This data has since been used in:
    • Mike Lesk's copyright renewal search form (2004-04-12)
    • Stanford University's Copyright Renewal Database (2007-04-02)
    • Google's copyright renewal records (2008-06-23)
• XML stuff:
  • GCIDE_XML, the GNU version of The Collaborative International Dictionary of English, presented in XML
  • My de-spammed index to www-xml-query-comments (Discontinued February 2007. Now that almost all comments are submitted via Bugzilla, there's very little spam, and comments are explicitly assigned to the affected document, so continuing my index wouldn't have been that useful.)
